A metro Atlanta police department is asking for the public’s support after its officers suffered the most unspeakable of tragedies: the loss of dozens of Krispy Kreme doughnuts that spilled onto one of the city’s most iconic thoroughfares.

On Tuesday morning, a Krispy Kreme delivery truck lost most of its cargo along Peachtree Road near Town Boulevard in Brookhaven.
