Floyd, an African American, died in Minneapolis on Memorial Day after pleading for air while Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, reportedly knelt on Floyd’s neck for more than eight minutes.
Chauvin has since been charged with second-degree murder as Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison amended the charges against him. The three other officers, Tou Thao, Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kueng, were charged with aiding and abetting murder.
