A woman found dead in her Atlanta apartment Wednesday had apparently struggled with someone in the apartment, where some electronic items were missing, police said Friday afternoon.

Janice Hutchison who was found dead in her Bedford Pines apartment on Boulevard about 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, a day after her daughter Shuwona Hutchinson reported her missing. Nobody in her family has seen Hutchinson, 49, since the weekend.

Police hope the new evidence released Friday will generate new leads.

Hampton said any information on suspicious activity around the apartment or on possibly stolen electronics would be helpful.

“Even if you think the information is inconsequential, it’s probably huge for us,” Hampton said.
