The Warrensburg Police Department posted on Facebook with a plea to would-be criminals.

“Can you keep the criminalling to a minimum? It is REALLY cold out,” the post reads. “Do yourself (and us) a favor … stay inside.”

The department suggested that people should be nice to one another and watch reruns of “Say Yes to the Dress.”

The comical post has been shared more than 5,500 times on Facebook since it was posted Monday night.

A wind chill of minus 25 can freeze skin within 15 minutes, according to the National Weather Service.
