Bill Hargrove showed his bowling flair at Suburban Lanes in Decatur in 2005.

In 2005, the Atlanta Opera hosted a 102nd birthday party for long-time volunteer Rachel Lehmann. Lehmann invited Bill Hargrove, 104, as her date to the party after reading an article in the AJC Sports Section about the then 103-year old bowler. The two had spoken on the phone since March but had not yet gotten to meet.
