Photos: Cleanup efforts begin in Rockdale County after metro Atlanta storms
Stormy weather late Tuesday and early Wednesday left damage and blocked roads in metro Atlanta, with at least one confirmed tornado. One of the hardest hit areas is in Rockdale County, where a tornado was located over Conyers, according to the National Weather Service. Several roads are blocked there by trees that were uprooted. After a night of turbulent storms, cleanup efforts were underway Tuesday, April 3, 2024, in Rockdale County, where at least one tornado was reported to have touched down and left a path of destruction. While the storms caused widespread damage around the Atlanta metro area, the Conyers area was hit the hardest, according to the National Weather Service and Channel 2 Action News.
