The star of one of metro-Atlanta’s best known murder trials is changing her name.

Andrea Sneiderman was spotted at the Fulton County Courthouse on Wednesday with her parents. She was filing legal papers to change her surname to Russell. That's the first name of her dead husband, although he went by the nickname Rusty.

Andrea Sneiderman was initially accused of orchestrating her husband's assassination in 2010 as he dropped their son off at a day care center in Dunwoody. She was eventually convicted of lying to investigators about an affair with her boss, Hemy Neuman, and spent nine months in prison.

Neuman, was convicted killing Rusty Sneiderman but was found mentally ill. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
