An Oklahoma City fire truck met him outside the hospital after the treatment and took him back to the station, where he got to slide down the file house pole, use the fire hose and was given a firefighter's suit and badge, KOKH reported.

Jase was smiling the entire time and asking all sorts of questions.

“You have no idea the joy on his face. There’s been so much hurt on his face and pain lately that seeing him happy, he needed it, he deserved it. We all did,” Jase’s mother said.

Firefighters said they got just as much out of the experience, if not more, than Jase did.

Jase has been battling atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor since he was 16 months old, KOKH reported.

His 6-year-old brother Kayden lost his battle against the same cancer.
