Ohio authorities have arrested a woman in connection with the shooting death over the weekend of a Dayton man found wrapped in plastic in his apartment.

Jazzmon Brooks, 36, is charged with murder, felonious assault, gross abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and having weapons while under disability in the killing of Timothy Truesdale, 40, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Truesdale’s body was found on the bathroom floor in the aprtment he shared with Brooks,  according to a Dayton police report.

Brooks and Gary Houtz Jr. were arrested after a tip from a 911 caller and are both in the Montgomery County jail.

Houtz was initially arrested on unrelated probation and parole violation charges.

The 911 caller who reported Truesdale’s death said a woman shot him in fear for her life.

The caller, who said she just learned about the shooting from a friend, told police it happened about a week before her call on Saturday.
