Here's a roundup of news trending across the nation and world today.

What to know now:

Contradictory account:  Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday suggested Hillary Clinton did not back the raid that killed terror leader Osama bin Laden as the former secretary of state has said, and also changed his own account of what  he did on that day in 2011. Clinton has said she urged the president to go ahead with the mission while Obama's other advisers "were split." Biden said he, too, urged the president to approve the  operation, though previously he had said he did not.

Was the photo faked: It has been a piece of the puzzle of events that culminated in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, but now, it seems, technology has put the question to rest. Some believe the famous photo of Lee Harvey Oswald holding a rifle as he stands in the backyard of a Dallas-area home is a fake, produced to cement the idea  that Oswald was the lone gunman who had planned for months to kill JFK. Researchers at Dartmouth say they used state-of-the-art 3D imaging technology to determine that the photo is authentic. Said the study's senior author Hany Farid, "Our detailed analysis of Oswald's pose, the lighting and shadows, and the rifle in his hands refutes the argument of photo tampering."
