Social media had strong reactions after Alec Baldwin as President Donald Trump joked about Waffle House on “Saturday Night Live.”

“I said I was going to run this country like a business. That business is a Waffle House at 2 a.m.,” Baldwin’s Trump said to in-studio applause. “Crazies everywhere, staff walking out in the middle of their shift, managers taking money out of the cash register to pay off the Russian mob.”

A quick poll of Twitter showed almost all the reactions to that joke agreed with the live studio audience.

A few people defended Waffle House, a chain of restaurants so resilient the federal government uses them to gauge the severity of natural disasters.
