Prom photos are filling nearly everyone’s Facebook and Twitter feeds, but one photo from a before a high school's prom is causing an uproar across the country.
Take a look at this photo on Twitter:
The photo was taken, not before a prom in the deep south, but rather it happened in one of the states that probably some of the furthest from the Confederacy, Colorado.
According to KDVR, this group of teens from Parker, Colo., decided to pose with not only the flag, but also with guns.
Parker is about 20 miles from Littleton, Colo. and less than 20 miles from Aurora, Colo.
Since the uproar, at least one student in the photo has apologized.
She told KDVR, "I was very uncomfortable with this whole situation and didn't know what to say or what to do. I don't condone any of the actions that were in the picture and I don't condone anything that has to do with the flag."
She said she was caught up in the moment.
