Alexandria Duval, a former Palm Beach County, Florida, yoga studio owner accused of killing her twin sister in Maui in June, was arrested in New York on Monday on charges of drunken driving.

Duval was driving with a valid Hawaiian driver's license when she was stopped, according to New York State Police.

Duval’s vehicle was observed drifting on State Route 23 and nearly hitting a patrol car driven by a state police investigator. She was then seen nearly striking a car in front of her as she continued to cross over the road’s center lines, police said.

Duval was “highly intoxicated” and not wearing a seat belt when she was stopped. After being taken into custody, Duval took a breath test but refused to to be fingerprinted, photographed or say where she currently lived, police said.

Police said that Duval was taken to the Delaware County Jail and was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 property bond.

Duval has a court date set for Aug. 23. She faces a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated and other traffic violations.

It’s not known how Duval is able to maintain a valid Hawaiian driver’s license despite being accused of killing her twin sister by driving over a cliff in Maui in June.

The New York Daily News reported that police said Duval's blood alcohol level was 0.26, more than three times above the legal limit to drive. The News reported that she was held on $5,000 bail.

The twins gained attention in June when an argument between the sisters in Maui, Hawaii led to their vehicle driving off a cliff and resulting in the death of Alexandria's sister, Anastasia. The sisters had a history of aggressive driving while bickering and were known in the West Palm Beach community for their yoga studio, which was located on Clematis Street. At that time, the Duval sisters were known by Alison and Ann Dadow.
