A driver’s dashcam caught video of a truck knocking over a man working in a bucket on a traffic light above a busy Texas road.
Andrew Wolf was traveling around 50 mph Feb. 25 when a truck in the next lane hit the bucket, ejecting the worker from it, KTRK reported.
The man dangled from a safety harness for about 30 seconds before he was lowered by other workers.
"You can see they ignored some safety rules," Wolf, a former news photographer, told KTRK. "The road wasn't blocked off. The truck wasn't protecting anybody, but he was smart enough to put on a harness and helmet and that's what saved his life."
The driver of the truck stopped, and Wolf called 911, KTRK reported.
The worker was shaken up but OK, KTRK reported.
"I think he used up all his luck that day, but it was just amazing that he literally walked away from that impact," Wolf told KTRK.
