Three students who jumped a 16-year-old female student at a Wilmington, Delaware school were removed until there are more details about the case.
District spokeswoman Kathy Demarest said the girls have been out of Howard High School of Technology since they assaulted Amy Inita Joyner-Francis Thursday.
Joyner-Francis died after being jumped in a restroom in the school. She hit her head on the sink and lost consciousness.

She was flown by helicopter to a children's hospital and was pronounced dead.
"My heart is broken," Mayor Dennis Williams said at a news conference Thursday. "I'm so upset that the young lady lost her life today. Things like this shouldn't happen."
Wilmington Police Chief Bobby Cummings told DelwareOnline Monday charges will be filed against all three girls.

"We did not want to rush to judgment," Cummings said, referring to the time it took to approach filing charges. "We would rather take our time to conduct this investigation the proper way. Charges will be filed, and individuals will be held accountable for their actions."
The school is continuing to offer mental health services for students.
A visitation for Joyner-Francis will be May 1.
