A family woke up earlier than planned on Veterans Day to find a man high on methamphetamine on its rooftop, news reports state.
The Vero Beach father called Indian River sheriff's deputies about 6 a.m. to report that he and his sons heard someone stomping on their roof, yelling and howling, according to WPTV.
When deputies arrived, they encountered 31-year-old Jacob Johnson Futch.
Futch, of Vero Beach, told them that he was up there waiting to meet with an agent from the Drug Enforcement Administration. When asked if he was on any drugs, he admitted that he had taken meth around 2 a.m., WPTV reported.
Futch was charged with trespassing and booked into the Indian River County Jail. His occupation in the jail log is listed as a stock boy.
