“It’s been rumored that we’re bringing ‘Donny and Marie’ to an end here in Las Vegas. We're here to say it’s official,” Donny Osmond said. “The decision was "very, very hard.”

Originally set to run for six weeks in 2008, the show will end Nov. 16, 2019. Donny Osmond initially announced the end of the residency in December on KTNV.

“We have been through so much the last 11 years,” Donny Osmond said on “GMA.” “Her particularly, and she gets on stage and she's such a professional. She does a great job. I’m gonna miss this a lot.”

Marie Osmond said her brother has been her support system through challenges she’s had in her personal life.

“I went through a terrible divorce here and a terrible custody battle and I lost a child here,” Marie Osmond said.

“What she's gone through and still remained a professional and goes out there and performs for the audiences,” Donny Osmond said. “There’s a bond here that will never be broken.”

The two say they plan to step out of their comfort zone when the residency ends. Marie Osmond has some acting gigs lined up, and Donny Osmond is working on his 62nd album.
