A judge sentenced McKenna Newell, 21, to 30 days in jail and 36 months probation after she pleaded guilty to one count of child abuse, KUTV reported. Newell will also have to complete 500 hours of community service.

Newell admitted to abusing the 5-month-old twins during a January incident that was caught on a nanny cam their father had set up.

In the video, Newell throws a blanket over one of the crying children. She then picks up and shakes the infant before placing her in a crib, KUTV reported.

Shortly after, she removes the baby, holds her until she stops crying, then places her on the floor next to her sister. When the child starts to cry again, Newell begins to kick her in the ribs and legs. Newell then is seen kicking the other child.

She starts her 30-day sentence Oct. 11.
