A political candidate in Indiana is getting back to basics when it comes to why voters should select her to be county treasurer.

Ann Collins, who is running for treasurer of Monroe County in Indiana, unveiled a billboard ad for her campaign this month. Instead of big promises or lofty aspirations, Collins kept it simple. Next to her smiling image is the slogan, “I won't steal and I know how to count!”

While Collins said on Facebook that “It's really sad that it has come to this in Monroe County and elsewhere,” her down-to-earth message seemed to resonate with some voters. One voter asked her how high she can count, and Collins responded, “With my B.S. in business and years in real estate investment, pretty high!” The person who asked the question replied, “Well, you got my vote!”
