Months after he was shot in his leg, rapper Boosie Badazz made sure he made it to the polls for Georgia’s runoff election Jan. 5.

Billboard reported the rapper posted a video to his Facebook page after voting. In the clip, he is seen in an electric wheelchair speaking to a camera about voting.

“I’ve been watching the runoffs and I feel like me coming out here will inspire a lot of people to go vote. And I feel like Warnock’s gonna do some things that’s on my mind,” he said, referring to Democratic Senate candidate the Rev. Raphael Warnock. “I feel like my vote will matter.”

Warnock is going against Republican incumbent Kelly Loeffler. Democrat John Ossoff is also in a runoff election Jan. 5 against Republican incumbent David Purdue. Should the Democrats win, the party will have control over the currently Republican-controlled Senate.

The rapper also posted a video to Instagram of him heading into the polling location before voting.

Boosie was in the wheelchair as he recovers from a Dallas shooting in November. He’s been updating his followers on his progress on social media. He tweeted on Nov. 24 that he underwent two surgeries on his leg and had one more to go.
