Two men pleaded guilty Monday to the execution-style murders of a pregnant woman and her fiance in 2014.
Andre Gay, 44, and Richard Wilson, 46, were sentenced to four consecutive life sentences without parole plus 65 years, Channel 2 Action News reported.
They killed 23-year-old Jeronta Brown and 21-year-old Briana Brooks on Aug. 30, 2014, after kidnapping them and demanding ransom from Brown’s family, prosecutors said.
“Gay and Wilson shot Brown and Brooks in the back of the head and left them to die on the side of the road,” the Fulton County District Attorney’s office said in a statement. “When Atlanta Police arrived they found the couple handcuffed together with their hands behind their backs.”
Brooks was seven months pregnant at the time. Her baby was delivered, but she died several days later.
The suspects met in prison, the DA’s office said. According to the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles, Gay was out on parole at the time of the incident.
They have killed “at least” seven people in Fulton County, the DA’s office said.
They pleaded guilty to 10 charges including murder, criminal attempt to commit feticide and kidnapping for ransom.
