Firefighters battled a fire for several hours Friday afternoon at a 7,700-square foot home in east Cobb County.

The fire appeared to start in the back of the home, located in the 300 block of Rolling Rock Road, before spreading into the attic, Lt. Dan Dupree with the Cobb fire department said.

Firefighters were called to the home around 4:30 p.m. Friday and were expected to remain at the scene for several hours. No injuries were reported, Dupree said.

Rolling Rock Road is located off Atlanta Country Club Drive, near Paper Mill Road.

It was not known late Friday what sparked the blaze.
