A man is dead after he was shot in a southwest Atlanta neighborhood Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Officers near the 300 block of Altoona Place were flagged down by a neighbor about 4:30 p.m., Atlanta police said in a statement. Police found the victim dead of a gunshot wound.

Few other details were released, but police said they have “all the parties involved in the incident identified and are working to determine what led to the incident.”

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 57-year-old Jeffrey Williams. An investigation is ongoing.
