A traffic stop in Atlanta led to the arrest of a former Macon pastor this week, more than two years after police issued warrants charging him with the rape of a 16-year-old girl.

The Macon Telegraph reported that Yohandry Bravo, the 39-year-old ex-leader of Ministerio Internacional Jesús es el Señor, was booked into the Bibb County jail at about 12:30 p.m. on charges of rape and aggravated child molestation.

According to the Telegraph, “a couple of families” moved in with Bravo and his family shortly after his 15-year-old son was hit and killed by a car in November 2012. Bravo is accused of raping a 16-year-old girl at his home about two months later.

The newspaper reported that Bravo was arrested after an Atlanta police officer noticed the former pastor’s outstanding warrants during a traffic stop.
