The wait to feel as though you've jumped out of a plane — without doing any such thing — is almost over.

iFLY, located at 2778 Cobb Parkway, is on track to open by Nov. 11.

First-time flyers can choose from five packages to book a flight online now. All of the packages include the use of flight gear, a training session, personal instruction and a flight certificate.

The most basic package buys two flights for one person at $69.95.

On the other end of the spectrum is the party package, which offers 24 flights shared by up to 12 people and 12 free video clips from the flight sessions. That goes for $669.95.

Return flyers, pro-flyers and skydivers can choose from various other options.

Flyers, who must be over the age of three, will be able to experience a freefall skydiving simulation through a wall-to-wall vertical wind tunnel in a flight chamber.

In order to snag the prime location about a mile from SunTrust Park, the facility was redesigned after a variance request to build the facility eight feet higher than the standard 50-foot restriction was denied by Cobb County.

It is one of numerous new developments coming to the area, such as a six-story mixed-use apartment building, a new driving range facility and the entertainment district next to the new Braves stadium called The Battery.
