A Cobb County woman is accused of leaving her three children in a vehicle alone with the engine running while she shopped for more than 40 minutes.

Lorienne Renee Bruney, 39, of Kennesaw allegedly left the children — ages 6, 3 and 10 months — in the vehicle around lunchtime last Thursday, according to the warrant for her arrest. The vehicle’s doors were unlocked, according to police.

The incident happened at The Avenue West Cobb on Dallas Highway in Marietta, according to the warrant.

Bruney turned herself in to Cobb County police Friday afternoon. She posted $2,500 bond later that evening, according to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Department Web site.

Bruney faces three misdemeanor charges of child deprivation.
