An Atlanta woman was killed early Wednesday attempting to make a left turn onto a residential street in southwest Atlanta.

April Denise Fallins' car was hit by a 2002 Mountaineer as she made the turn onto Dill Avenue from Lee Street a little before 8 a.m. She died at the scene, Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said. The driver of the Mountaineer was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed, though the accident remains under investigation.

Fallins, 29, was a 2000 graduate of Tri-Cities High School and a mother of two, according to her Facebook profile.
