Woman, daughter, 3, locked in freezer during Chuck E. Cheese's robbery

An employee of Chuck E. Cheese's and her three-year-old daughter were robbed at gunpoint and locked in a freezer at the Marietta business on Sunday evening, according to Cobb County police.

Investigators said the woman and the child had just left the Chuck E. Cheese’s at 4340 Roswell Road after closing it around 10:30 p.m., when they were confronted by a man with a handgun.

He forced the victims out of their car and back inside the restaurant and made the employee open the store safe, according to police.

Before fleeing the business with an undisclosed amount of money, the gunman forced both victims into a walk-in refrigerator/freezer. They were not injured and were freed after dialing 9-1-1, police said.

The gunman faces charges of armed robbery, kidnapping and cruelty to children.
Police describe the gunman as a tall, skinny black man of about 17 to 18 years old.  He was wearing all black clothing with a purple shirt covering his head.
