What will Pope Benedict XVI’s resignation mean for the Catholic church?

What is his legacy? Who will be the next pope?

These and other questions will be tackled during a panel discussion at Emory University, sponsored by the Aquinas Center of Theology and the Candler School of Theology. The event will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in room 252 at the Candler school.

Scheduled speakers are Cory Andrew Labrecque, a Catholic ethicist and the Raymond F. Schinazi Scholar in Bioethics and Religious Thought at Emory’ Center for Ethics; Steffen Lösel, an associate professor in systematic theology at Candler; and Phillip M. Thompson, executive directo of the Aquinas Center of Theology.
