This is “Actual Factual North Fulton.” A column where I will answer your questions about what’s going on in north Fulton County.

A reader asked, “What is under construction on the large formerly wooded lot on Arnold Mill Road at Ranchette Road in Milton?”

Answer: Something is being built, but nobody is plopping down a Whole Foods, or a Target, or a Publix, or a pet store, or a Walgreens, or a brewery on the outskirts of Milton.

Nope. It’s just another home for horses and people coming to the city in north Fulton County.

According to Shannon Ferguson, the communications director for the city of Milton, the property owner is clearing 11 acres of trees so he can build a horse pasture, one single-family home and an “accessory structure.”

Ferguson said the owner is doing the tree clearing under Georgia's agricultural exemption. More information about that can be found by clicking here. Ferguson added that the property owner has not submitted a building permit just yet, as he is doing the site work while an architect works on the design.

A look at Google Maps shows that the property is just on the Milton side of Ga. 141. Roswell is on the other side.

Using Google Maps’ “street view” function, a photo taken in June 2017 shows many trees on the property, but there is also a sign in front of those trees saying that the property is for sale. Most of those trees are now gone.
