Signs that life is somewhat returning to normal despite COVID-19, the city of Waleska announced the openings of both its Farmer’s Market and City Hall.

The Waleska Farmer’s Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays beginning May 14 on the property next to City Hall, 8891 Fincher Road. Patrons are asked not to park in the City Hall spaces but to use the circle drive behind it or the parking lot next to it. “We do ask that every customer wear a mask and stay six feet apart,” the city said.

City Hall itself is scheduled to reopen to the public on Monday, May 18.

"We will ask that only one person be in the lobby at a time," the city said. "Thanks for your patience during this time that we have been closed, and thank you for considering the one-person-in-lobby-at-a-time (request). This is consideration for everyone's health."
