University of Georgia students who missed class because of last week's snow storm may find themselves in class on two upcoming Saturdays.
UGA Provost Jere Morehead said in a memo that Jan. 29 and Feb. 12 will be optional make-up days. The first date will be used for classes that meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The second date is for those that meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, he wrote in the email to faculty.
Professors will ultimately determine if they need to hold classes on one of the two Saturdays, according to the note. Other options include holding classes online and scheduling exams in the evening, Morehead wrote.
"Student learning is our top priority, and we want to ensure that our students have every opportunity to learn and meet the objectives set for University courses," Morehead wrote. "The University must ensure that our students gain the essential course content and meet the goals and objectives set for our courses."
