Traffic shift on Lake Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford

Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners shifted traffic to the newly constructed lanes on Ga 347/Lake Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford on Monday, July 29. The upcoming traffic shift onto newly constructed lanes will begin at Holiday Point Marina and end at Shoreland Drive.

Once the shift occurs, drivers will be able to begin using the new roundabout at Big Creek Road and Bethany Creek Road.

GDOT officials are reminding drivers to use caution while navigating the area.
