You’ve heard of a cat stuck in a tree, but a peacock?

The pet bird went missing from an otherwise typical suburban home in Duluth on Sunday. When its owner found it in a nearby tree, he called the police to assist in rescuing it, Duluth Police Officer Ted Sadowski said.

Efforts were futile Sunday night; the bird was not coming down. The police were called to the peacock’s aid again Monday around 9 a.m. The owner had found a ladder, which police used to get the majestic tropical bird and return it safely to the ground.

The peacock is once again safe at home and was not injured in the ordeal.
