Three of America's 100 greatest hospitals are right here in Atlanta, according to a new ranking from leading hospital business source Becker's Healthcare.

The Chicago-based company's 2019 edition of its "100 great hospitals" report featured Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital, the Emory University Hospital and Piedmont Atlanta.
"We are proud to have two of our hospitals in the ranks with so many other well-respected health care organizations around the nation," Jonathan S. Lewin, MD, president, CEO and chairman of the board of Emory Healthcare, said in a statement. "We thank all of the many care teams across our system, whose excellence in patient care contribute to us achieving these recognitions."

According to Becker's Hospital Review, the hospitals were honored for their "excellence in clinical care, patient outcomes, and staff and physician satisfaction" and are considered "industry leaders that have achieved advanced accreditation and certification in several specialties."
This isn't the first time the three facilities have been nationally recognized. The U.S. News & World Report recently ranked Emory University Hospital No. 1 in the state, followed by Emory Saint Joseph's and Piedmont Atlanta.
