Five things to know Friday, Jan. 29:

1. Two people fleeing police in Fulton County hit a car in Gwinnett Count. The occupants of that vehicle died. [Read Lauren Foreman's story for more details]

2. The state trooper who was wounded in a shootout on I-75 earlier this week is recovering. The father of the man who died in that shootout says his son was a "good boy." [Tyler Estep has the story on what else the father said]
