Thieves bust into Family Dollar store

Thieves smashed in a wall and took items from a Family Dollar store in the Moores Mill Crossing shopping center on Bolton Road.

Police conduct their investigation into theft at the Family Dollar. Police are looking for a pair of burglars who knocked a hole in the back wall of a northwest Atlanta dollar store.

Police said the two men used plastic bins to ferry items from the shelves to their escape point.

The thieves rummaged the store taking electronics, school uniforms, candy and other items.

Police said the men spent about 15 minutes in the store filling tubs before making their escape in an unknown vehicle.

The store manager said the store has been burglarized numerous times, most recently about six months ago.

Store manager said this was the first time burglars knocked a hole in the concrete block wall to enter the store. Normally, they break in through the front doors, he said.
