A: The Southern Badminton Association keeps a list of public and private spots to play on its Web site (www.sbabadminton.org) and also recommends joining the Atlanta badminton players Yahoo group at (sports.groups.yahoo.com /group/atlanta_badminton_players/). Anna Chien, a member of the group, lists these venues with weekly opportunities to play: Decatur Recreation Center, through the end of October (www.decaturga.com /cgs_citysvcs_rec.aspx, 770-377-3404), Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Stone Mountain (www .memorialdrivepresbyterianchurch.org, 770-381-0063) and Dunwoody United Methodist Church (www.dunwoodyumc.org /monthly_calendar.htm, 770-394-0675, Ext. 292). Some local colleges and universities also have badminton courts but typically require individuals to be a student or employed by the school to play.
