The latest on metro Atlanta school closings and dismissals, by county

Schools across metro Atlanta are closing early ahead of a weather system that may bring as much as 2 inches of snow into the area.

Cobb County: Schools will dismiss two hours early Friday. Friday and Saturday activities, including SAT tests, are also canceled. For more information, click here.

DeKalb County: Schools will close on a staggered schedule Friday. Elementary schools released at 11 a.m., high schools at 12:15 p.m. and middle schools at 1:15 p.m. SAT testing scheduled over the weekend has been postponed. For more information, click here.

Fulton County: Schools will dismiss two hours early Friday. After-school activities and any events scheduled before 1 p.m. Saturday are also canceled. For more information, click here.

Gwinnett County: Schools will not close early Friday. For more information, click here.

College closures:

The University of North Georgia is closed.

Georgia Tech, Georgia State and Kennesaw State closed its campuses at noon.

Mercer University closed  its Atlanta campus and its Henry County and Douglas County Regional Academic Centers at noon.

Georgia Gwinnett College closed at noon.

Emory, the University of West Georgia, schools in the Atlanta University Consortium, Spelman and Clark Atlanta University closed at 2 p.m..

The University of Georgia in Athens closed its campus at 2:30 p.m.
