If a day of getting your nails done after virtual reality gaming and real-life escaping only to get them messed up again by taking out a new kayak sounds good, then The Battery is going to be more appealing to you next year.
The Atlanta Braves announced Tuesday that the 1½-million-square-foot behemoth of a mixed-use project attached to their SunTrust Park is getting four new businesses: Allure Nail Bar, The VOID, The Escape Room and Rock/Creek.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported earlier this month that "82 percent of the development's existing retail space is leased, though some of that may not be occupied for another year." That's according to the Braves.

The nail salon will fill 3,100-square-foot space next to sunglasses store Select Shades.
“They will offer world-class products, services and top technologies to make guests feel and look their best,” the Braves said.

The VOID
Sometime in January 2019, it’s expected a 9,000-square-foot space of virtual games will open adjacent to the Coca-Cola Roxy. They sell a themed virtual reality gaming experience.
Or, if you’re a Ghostbuster, you walk around what looks like an undecorated set in real life but with the goggles on is a New York apartment building infested with ghost you have been called to bust.
You can also be a Rebel fighter in the “Star Wars” universe secretly stealing intelligence.
It will be the first location in Georgia.
The Escape Game
This is one of those places where you and friends lock yourselves in and work as a team to get out. Kind of like high school!
This escape room will take up 5,000 square feet on Battery Avenue next to Baseballism!, a baseball apparel store.
Teams will have 60 minutes to escape different scenarios. It is expected to open sometime in 2019.

Rock/Creek
This Chattanooga-based outdoors store will be across from Cru, a wine bar. It will be 17,000 square feet.
The store will carry supplies for kayaking, rock climbing, camping and hiking along with others.
