Suwanee is seeking artists’ proposals and samples for the city’s finders-keepers art-in-nature program.
Art on a Limb is a month-long program designed to applaud and bring attention to the arts, as well as Suwanee’s parks and greenways. Since 2005, the city has hidden two pieces of artwork daily throughout the month of May within city parks and along the greenway. Visitors finding the trail treasures get to keep them.
According to the city’s press release, previous art pieces have included “fairy doors, clay birds and orbs, small paintings on canvas, pieces of the city’s old water tower, magnets, gourds painted to look like birds, the Suwanee S shaped from metal, and pottery pieces.”
Artistic proposals will be accepted through Feb. 22. Guidelines and application: www.suwanee.com/explore-suwanee/public-art/art-on-a-limb.
