More than 60 journalists traipsed through the Braves’ new home Wednesday.

The team has 36 days to tidy up SunTrust Park before guests show up for the first pitch. And that's good for them because the place is still aflutter with folks in hard hats.

The tour, led by Braves president of development Mike Plant, included a look at the new Chop House and its windowed view of the newly installed field.

Between the stadium and the accompanying multi-use area named The Battery Atlanta, Plant said 14 construction cranes at one time dotted the 60-acre area.

Plant promised none of those cranes will be there opening day but said The Battery will still be undergoing lots of work.

The crowd went to the space below the Chophouse, which Plant said gives fans who’ve rented out the space a great opportunity to heckle opposing right fielders.

The gaggle also stopped by the children's area, which includes a zip line and climbing tower, and continued on to Terrapin Beer Company's brewing set-up right outside the right-field gate.

Some pictures and videos from the tour are below, but check back on ajc.com for a full story later today.
