Everyone in college basketball has been talking about one Wheeler High School senior this year. And finally, he has made his choice.
E.J. Montgomery, considered one of the most talented forwards heading into college ball, announced his commitment to the University of Kentucky via his Instagram on Monday.
"I'm rocking Kentucky blue," the post read, probably a reference to the song "Scholarships" by Drake and Future off of the former's 2015 album.
When asked by 247 Sports why he went with Kentucky, he said:
“Just the coaches and their track record with their players. I can go get developed and be the best that I can be.”
And Montgomery, at 6 feet and 10 inches, won’t be the only one getting developed.

That team already has shooting guard Keldon Johnson and point guard Immanuel Quickley, both 5-star recruits themselves, with signed letters of intent.
John Calipari's recruiting class currently sits at the No. 2 rated squad in 247's ranking behind Duke.
The sports website ranked him No. 12 in the nation.
Montgomery was previously committed to Auburn, but rescinded a day after assistant coach Chuck Person was arrested by federal authorities for allegedly bribing recruits.
UGA was reportedly in the mix for Montgomery at one point too.
Montgomery was previously named Cobb's player of the year.
