A customer claims he was served pizza with mice feces on it at Stars and Strikes, the popular entertainment center chain, in DeKalb County.
According to a lawsuit filed in DeKalb County State Court, Sammie Reed went to the Mountain Industrial Boulevard near Stone Mountain on May 6, 2016. He got sick and vomited, and he sought treatment at DeKalb Medical Center, the suit alleges.
In a response filed in court last week, Stars and Strikes’ lawyer denied that the company had been negligent but said they had insufficient information to confirm or deny that Reed’s pizza was contaminated.
“We strongly deny any wrongdoing in this matter,” the company said in a statement Friday. “Our lawyers and insurance company are handling the lawsuit.”
Reed’s attorney, Andrea Boyd, said the employee who served him realized the food was contaminated only after Reed had eaten nearly all of it.

“The waitress/bartender has been very cooperative, has indicated that the mice infestation has been an ongoing problem at Stars and Strikes,” Boyd said in an email to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The attorney said she has obtained photos showing evidence of the alleged mice infestation and a recording in which the manager apologized and admitted to Reed that there was a rodent problem at the time two years ago.
Reed is asking for damages in an amount determined in court.
