Fulton County police direct traffic at the on-ramp to I-285 south at Cascade Road, where traffic was diverted Wednesday. All southbound lanes of I-285 in south Fulton County were shut down early Wednesday, Feb 9, 2011, after a body was discovered on the interstate.

Police are investigating the incident as a hit-and-run. Fulton County police detective, C. R. Wallace Jr puts crime scene tape across the on-ramp to I-285 south at Cascade Road where traffic was diverted Wednesday.

The woman who was killed was carrying no identification, police said.
