Smyrna will change sanitation collection days, beginning the week of Feb. 4.

All current routes in all wards will be affected by this change - both residential garbage and recycling pickups, according to Smyrna City Administrator Tammi Saddler Jones in her recent newsletter.

“Although the scheduled pickup day may change, both services will be picked up on the same day,” she noted.

Smyrna’s residential sanitation and recycling customers are advised to check the new calendar from the city’s Public Works Department.

Yard waste will continue to be collected on Wednesdays, and large items will continue to be collected on Thursdays.
