As Georgians celebrate the summer heat with cold drinks and ice cream by the pool, Six Flags White Water is giving a much cooler welcome to the warm weather.

The water park, located in Marietta, opens this weekend on Saturday, May 12. The park will be open only on Saturday and Sunday of next week as well, but will be open everyday for the rest of the summer beginning May 24.

To celebrate Mother's Day, which falls during Six Flag White Water's opening weekend, visitors can save up to 60% off tickets and season passes. This deal will end on May 13.

White Water is home to 22 water rides, including thrill rides and child-friendly pools and slides.

The water park is known for “Tornado,” a 132-foot tunnel visitors can raft down, and “Typhoon Twister,” a water slide that with a 5-story drop.

Younger children can enjoy smaller slides and pools, along with rides for the entire family.

General admission is $46.99; $41.99 for children under 48 inches tall, and free for children age 2 and under.
