Renovations and additions at five Fayette County schools and the administrative complex are getting closer to completion.

An update provided at the Nov. 26 Board of Education meeting noted that final “punch list” work is being done at Peeples Elementary, Rising Starr Middle, Starr’s Mill High and Fayette County High, although renovations at two stadium field houses will occur over the winter. The new auditorium at Fayette County High is scheduled for completion in mid-December and should be ready for spring events.

Classroom additions at McIntosh High are progressing, and the project to convert the LaFayette Educational Center into the school system’s administrative offices is expected to be finished in time for staff to move in in January.
