The Henry County Parks and Recreation Department is rolling out a plan to reopen its facilities after being closed more than two months during the COVID-19 shutdown.

All parks opened June 8, with athletic fields open for practice only and in accordance with social distancing guidelines. Recreation centers opened June 15 with limited hours and capacity, with park pavilions and rentals available at the same time. Certified nursing assistants will resume services to seniors that week.

Senior centers reopen July 6 with limited hours and capacity, and playgrounds will reopen at county parks July 13. Access to games and tournaments along with the Village Park Splash Pad will be permitted after the statewide state of emergency is lifted, and that is expected to happen July 12. Dates are subject to change.
