UPDATE at 11:24 a.m. Oct. 4: Taj Mahal Grill scored a 94, or A, on its follow-up inspection held Oct. 3.
The inspector did observe two small roaches, a large hole in the wall near the stove, another opening between the ceiling and the walls in the kitchen office and several ceiling tiles that were not flush, the report states. All of these are possible entryways for pests, the inspector said.
Taj Mahal was also cited for having food stored on the floor.

A popular Cobb County restaurant failed its most recent food service inspection held Monday.
Taj Mahal Grill at 1200 Barrett Parkway Suite 236 scored a 63, or U, on its Sept. 23 inspection conducted by the Cobb & Douglas Public Health Department. Anything below a 70 is considered failing.
The Kennesaw eatery previously scored a 79, or C, on its May 1, 2018, inspection and a 80, or B, on its March 5, 2018, report.
According to Monday's report, the restaurant was cited for having "several small roaches" on the floor and wall of the main kitchen. The inspector also found food inside the refrigerator that was held past the date when it should have been discarded.

Other violations include:
•Raw chicken stored above ready-to-eat boiled eggs and raw shrimp stored above ready-to-eat chickpeas in the restaurant’s coolers.
•Vegetable samosas and vegetable pakura that were cooked the night before measuring above 41 degrees in the cooler.
•food stored inside the cooler without any date-marking.
•A buildup of dust on the condenser in the walk-in cooler and an area beside the hood in the hot line.
•Microwave interior and walls by the three-compartment sink and around the stove splattered with food debris.
A follow-up inspection will be conducted within the next 10 business days. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reached out to the restaurant for comment about its score, and an employee who answered the phone said the business did not want to comment on the report.
